Salary Details

Educational Qualification
Technician Grade-I Signal:
- B.Sc. (Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Tech/Instrumentation) OR
- Three years Diploma in Engineering in above/basic streams OR
- Degree in Engineering in above streams or combination.
Technician Grade-III (Trade-specific):
- Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT-recognized institution
OR - Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the relevant trade
OR - For certain posts: 10+2 with Physics and Maths (refer notification, Cat. 15 only: S&T)
- Engineering diploma/degree is NOT a substitute for ITI unless specifically allowed.

Age Relaxation (as per rules):

Medical Standards
- As per Railway prescribed norms (A3/B1/B2/C1), varying across trades (annexure table in notification).
- Colour vision & eyesight crucial for most Tech posts.
Reservation
- SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, ExSM, PwBD, Minorities, EBC, Quasi-administrative, etc., as per Government and Railway rules.
Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT):
- Separate test for each Pay Level.
- 100 Questions, 90 minutes, negative marking ⅓ per wrong answer.
- Subjectwise split and detailed syllabus provided in notification.

How to Apply
- Visit the chosen RRB’s official website (see “Official RRBs & Websites”).
- Create an account (once per candidate; Aadhaar/DigiLocker recommended).
- Fill the online application for the desired pay level (submit separately for Level 5 & 2 if applying both).
- Upload live photograph, signature, caste, disability, EWS, EBC, and other relevant certificates (per format).
- Pay applicable examination fee online.
- Recheck, then submit the application.
- Download/print application for reference.
- Correction/modification window open: 01.08.2025–10.08.2025 (fee ₹250/modification).
Instructions
- Apply only through official portal; read full notification before applying.
- Each candidate may apply to only one RRB per pay level (applying multiple is grounds for disqualification).
- Reservation claims must be as per valid certificate formats (provided in annexures).
- CBT language preference available; English, Hindi & 13 regional options.
- Keep active mobile/email for all correspondence.
- Admit cards, results, notices only on RRB websites.
- Free train pass (for eligible SC/ST) provided on call letter; submit community certificate if availing.
- Bring all originals and live photo at DV.
