Salary Details
- Stipend: As per Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 rules, payable monthly.
- Graduate/Technician Apprentice: Paid in two parts – 50% by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) via DBT; 50% + ₹2500 extra by IOCL.
- Trade Apprentice (ITI): Stipend fully by IOCL.
- Duration: 12 Months (1 year) fixed.
Educational Qualification
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist):
- Matric with full-time 2-year ITI in respective trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
- Technician Apprentice (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics):
- 3 years full-time Diploma in relevant Engineering branch with required minimum marks (50% for UR/EWS/OBC-NCL, 45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering):
- Regular full-time Graduate (B.A/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA) from a recognized University with required minimum marks (same marks criteria as above).
Notes:
- Qualification must be obtained as full-time regular course (not Distance/Part-time/Correspondence).
- Higher professional qualification (BE/B.Tech/MBA/CA/ICWA/LLB etc.) not eligible.

Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years (as on 31.08.2025)
- Maximum: 24 years (as on 31.08.2025)
- Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years (max 29 years), OBC-NCL – 3 years (max 27 years), PwBD – up to 10 years (15 years SC/ST, 13 years OBC-NCL).
Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Based on merit list from percentage of marks in qualifying examination.
- Document Verification: Only shortlisted candidates will be called.
- No Exam/Interview: In case of tie, older candidate as per DOB considered.
- Medical Fitness: Pre-engagement medical fitness test as per IOCL’s policy.

- Apply for ONLY ONE DISCIPLINE CODE; multiple applications will be rejected.
- Keep scanned copies of documents ready for upload.
- No other mode of application accepted.
Instructions
- Read official notification carefully before applying.
- Applications without proper eligibility, incomplete/incorrect or multiple discipline codes will be rejected.
- Maintain same registered e-mail ID and mobile number till completion of apprenticeship.
- Keep checking IOCL website and your registered email for all communication.
- No right to employment in IOCL after apprenticeship.
- Candidates must have PAN Card, Aadhaar, and Aadhaar-seeded Bank Account enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
