Salary Details
Selected candidates will be placed in the Special Time Scales of Pay, Level 06 (₹11,100 – ₹35,100/-).
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) / 10th Standard examination with Tamil as one of the subjects. The SSLC mark sheet must be submitted with the application.
Other Qualifications
- Applicants must be a resident of the Taluk they are applying for.
- Must be able to read and write Tamil fluently without errors.
- Must be physically fit.
- Must know how to ride a bicycle or a two-wheeler.
- There should be no pending criminal cases against the applicant.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in the specific village where the vacancy exists.
Age Limit
The age limit will be calculated as of 01.09.2025.
- Minimum Age: 21 years (for all categories)
- Maximum Age:
- Others (OC): 32 years
- BC / MBC / DNC / SC / ST: 37 years
- Age Relaxation:
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): An additional 10 years over the respective category’s maximum age limit.
- Ex-Servicemen:
- Others (OC): 48 years
- BC / MBC / DNC / SC / ST: 53 years
Selection Process
The selection process will include:
- Skill Test: Assessing the ability to ride a bicycle/two-wheeler and reading/writing skills in Tamil.
- Interview: A personal interview will be conducted for the eligible candidates.
Eligible applicants will be informed about the date and venue for the skill test and interview separately via post.

- Fill out the application form completely.
- Attach self-attested copies of all required documents (SSLC certificate, community certificate, proof of residence, etc.).
- Include a self-addressed envelope of 25×10 cm size with a Rs. 25/- postal stamp affixed.
- Submit the completed application form either in person or by post to the respective Taluk Office on or before 01.10.2025 by 5:45 PM.
Instructions
- Applications received after the last date will be rejected.
- Candidates applying under the PSTM (Persons Studied in Tamil Medium) quota must submit the certificate in the prescribed format.
- All attached certificates must be self-attested.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the skill test or interview.
- The department is not responsible for postal delays.
- Transgender candidates must attach the certificate issued by the Tamil Nadu Transgender Welfare Board.
