Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as follows:
- Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 9,000/- per month.
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Rs. 8,000/- per month.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed their B.Sc., B.A., or Diploma in the years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025.
- Graduate Apprentices: A full-time degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Physics, or Tamil from a recognized university.
- Technician Apprentices: A full-time diploma in Engineering, Agriculture, or Horticulture from a State Council/Board of Technical Education or a recognized university.
- Mandatory: All applicants must be registered on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at www.nats.education.gov.in.
Age Limit
The age limit will be as per the prevailing Apprenticeship rules.
Selection Process
- The selection will be based purely on the merit of aggregate marks obtained in the respective Graduate or Diploma examinations.
- A final rank list will be prepared after certificate verification.
- Preference will be given to the children of VPA Employees (deceased, medically invalidated, superannuated, or serving).

- NATS Portal Registration: Candidates must first enroll themselves on the NATS portal at https://nats.education.gov.in. A unique 12-digit enrollment number will be generated.
- Online Application: After enrolling, log in to the NATS portal, search for “ICAR NATIONAL RESEARCH CENTRE FOR BANANA” under “Apply against advertised vacancies,” and submit the application.
- Ensure your provisional certificate or consolidated mark sheet is uploaded, and the percentage of marks is correctly entered in the portal.

- This is a one-year apprenticeship, and there is no obligation for ICAR-NRCB to offer employment upon completion.
