Salary Details
Selected candidates will be placed in Level-3 of the pay matrix (Rs. 21,700 – 69,100) plus admissible Central Government allowances. Additional benefits include Special Security Allowance at 20% of basic pay and cash compensation for holidays worked, subject to a ceiling of 30 days.
Educational Qualification
- Matriculation (10th class) from a recognized Board of Education.
- Possession of a valid driving license for Motor Cars (LMV) issued by the competent authority.
- Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (ability to remove minor defects in vehicles).
- At least one year of experience driving a Motor Car after obtaining the valid driving license.
- Possession of a domicile certificate of the State against which the candidate has applied.
Desirable: Possession of a valid driving license for Motorcycle.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 to 27 years as on 28.09.2025. Age relaxation is applicable as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years.
- OBC: 3 years.
- Departmental candidates with 3 years of service: Up to 40 years.
- Widows/Divorced women (General): Up to 35 years; OBC: 38 years; SC/ST: 40 years.
- Ex-servicemen: As per Government instructions.
- Meritorious sportspersons: Up to 5 years.
Selection Process
The selection involves two tiers:
- Tier-I: Online objective MCQ exam (100 marks, 1 hour) covering General Awareness, Basic Transport/Driving Rules, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and English Language. Negative marking of 1/4 for wrong answers.
- Tier-II: Motor Mechanism & Driving Test cum Interview (50 marks, qualifying with minimum 20 marks).
Final merit is based on combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II, subject to qualifying Tier-II, followed by Character & Antecedent verification and medical examination.

- Ensure eligibility in terms of age, qualification, and domicile before applying.
- SC/ST/Female/Ex-Servicemen are exempted from exam fee but must pay processing charges.
- The post is not suitable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs).
- All India Transfer liability applies; candidates must be willing to serve anywhere in India.

- No TA/DA for exams, but unemployed SC/ST candidates may get fare reimbursement.
