Salary Details
- Salary: ₹2,25,000 per month for Members
- Allowances and benefits as admissible to a Group A officer with equivalent pay
Educational Qualification
Judicial Member:
- Judge of a High Court, or
- 10 years as District Judge/Additional District Judge, or
- 10 years as an advocate with substantial experience in litigation related to environment and forest matters in NGT/High Court/Supreme Court
Expert Member:
- Degree/Post-graduation/Doctorate in Science, plus 25 years’ relevant experience, including 5 years in environment/forest-related fields, or
- 20 years administrative experience (5 years with environmental matters) in Govt or reputed institutions
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 50 years (as on closing date)
- Maximum tenure: 4 years or until attaining age of 67 years, whichever is earlier
Selection Process
- Scrutiny by Search-Cum-Selection Committee for eligibility, qualification & experience
- Personal interaction/interview of shortlisted candidates
- Overall merit evaluation
