Salary Details
The position offers a salary in Pay Level-11 of the pay matrix, which ranges from Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700, plus usual allowances and benefits as per SETS norms.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Essential Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech. with 60% or above marks (or equivalent CGPA) in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- OR
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics with 60% or above marks.
- Desirable Qualification:
- M.E./M.Tech./Ph.D. in relevant engineering fields like Electronics, Computer Science, VLSI Design, or Information Security.
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Quantum Computing.
- Required Work Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Research & Development related to cryptography and cybersecurity.
- Note: The experience requirement can be offset by higher qualifications. For instance, a Master’s degree in Engineering is considered equivalent to 2 years of experience, and a Doctorate in Engineering is equivalent to 4 years.
Age Limit
- The upper age limit for applicants is 35 years as of the closing date of the online application (November 10, 2025).
Selection Process
The selection process will involve the following stages:
- Shortlisting: A screening committee will shortlist candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and other criteria mentioned in the application.
- Written Test and/or Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a written test and/or an interview as decided by SETS.
- Final Selection: The final decision will be based on performance in the interview/test.

Instructions
- The initial appointment will be on a contract basis for five years, with a one-year probation period.
