Notes:
- Unreserved candidates may be appointed against EWS posts provisionally; selection purely on merit.
- Any candidate can be appointed against unfilled reserved category posts for up to 44 days, with possible extension.
Salary Details
- Professor: Fixed Basic Pay Rs. 1,23,100 plus admissible allowances.
- Associate Professor: Fixed Basic Pay Rs. 78,800 plus admissible allowances.
- Assistant Professor: Fixed Basic Pay Rs. 67,700 plus admissible allowances.
- Senior Resident: Fixed Basic Pay Rs. 67,700 plus admissible allowances.
- Retired pensioners: Total pay without deduction; pension and DA on pension continue during contractual engagement as per OM references.
Educational Qualification
- Professor: MD/MS in concerned subject; 3 years as Associate Professor or equivalent Armed Forces experience; at least two research publications post-Associate Professor among first three authors; Basic Course in Biomedical Research completed; Basic Course in Medical Education as applicable. Special provisions for Senior Consultant PG teachers per NMC norms.
- Associate Professor: MD/MS; 4 years as Assistant Professor (5 years for direct appointees in Govt. institutions) or Armed Forces equivalent; two research publications post-Assistant Professor among first three authors; Basic Course in Biomedical Research; Medical Education course as applicable. Non-teaching consultants with PG degree and 10 years in 220+ bed Govt. hospital eligible with conditions.
- Assistant Professor: MD/MS; typically 1 year Senior Residency; equivalents include Armed Forces experience, non-teaching consultants with 2 years in 220+ bed Govt. hospital, specified diploma-holder pathways; non-medical candidates may apply in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Pharmacology with M.Sc. + Ph.D.
- Senior Resident: As per NMC norms; up-to-date State/NMC registration mandatory or proof of “applied for” at interview, with final submission at joining.
Age Limit
- Teaching Faculty: Not exceeding 69 years as on 18.09.2025; tenure up to 70 years or 1 year, whichever earlier.
- Senior Resident: Up to 45 years; for non-clinical subjects, up to 50 years.
- Reservation/relaxations as per GoI norms; EWS certificate as per DoPT OM 31.01.2019; OBC-NCL within one year prior to interview in Central format; PH/Divyangjan as per norms.
Selection Process
- Selection based on academic credentials and interview performance before the Selection Board.
- Results will be displayed on the official website; offer of appointment via email; joining as per offer instructions.

Instructions
- Application must be submitted separately for each post in the prescribed format; incomplete/other formats will be rejected.
- NOC preferred for Government/Autonomous/Statutory institution employees; proof of “applied for NOC” acceptable at interview.
- No private practice allowed after joining; attendance via AEBAS and manual marking required.
- Contract may be terminated by either side with one-month notice; spot resignation requires deposit of one month’s salary. No claim to PF, pension, gratuity, seniority, or promotion. Absence beyond 7 days without permission leads to termination.
- No TA/DA for interview or document submission; recruitment process subject to cancellation/postponement by Dean.
