Salary Details
- Initial Pay: Rs. 18,000 per month.
- Pay Level: Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum Qualification: 10th Pass OR ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT OR equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 33 Years
Age Relaxation:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- Ex-Servicemen (UR/EWS): 3 years after deduction of service length.
- PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 Years
- PwBD (OBC-NCL): 13 Years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years
- Other relaxations apply for Railway staff, female candidates (widowed/divorced), and CCAA candidates as per rules.
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of the following four stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Single stage (Railway reserves the right to conduct multi-stage).
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying in nature (Exempted for PwBD and CCAA candidates).
- Document Verification (DV): Based on merit in CBT and qualifying in PET.
- Medical Examination (ME): To ensure fitness for specific post duties.
How to Apply
- Visit any of the official RRB websites.
- Select the option to “Create an Account” using a valid mobile number and email ID.
- Authenticate identity using Aadhaar or DigiLocker for a smoother process.
- Log in with credentials and fill in the online application form with personal and educational details.
- Capture a Live Photograph and upload a scanned signature in running handwriting as per specifications.
- Select the Chosen RRB/Railway Zone and set post preferences.
- Pay the required Examination Fee online through Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.
- Submit the application and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Instructions
- Negative Marking: There is a 1/3rd mark deduction for every wrong answer in the CBT.
- Single Application: Candidates can apply to only one RRB/Railway Zone. Multiple applications will result in rejection.
- Medical Standards: Candidates must meet the specific medical standards (A2, A3, B1, or C1) for their chosen posts.
- Banned Items: Electronic gadgets, calculators, and jewelry are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.
- Modification: A modification window is available between 05.03.2026 and 14.03.2026 upon payment of a fee of Rs. 250.
