Salary Details
- Trainee Engineer-I: ₹30,000 (1st yr) → ₹35,000 (2nd yr) → ₹40,000 (3rd yr if extended).
- Project Engineer-I: ₹40,000 (1st yr) → ₹45,000 (2nd) → ₹50,000 (3rd) → ₹55,000 (4th).
- ₹12,000/yr fixed perks; 10% area allowance for out-station sites; PE retention bonus ₹25,000/yr (paid ₹1 L at 4 yrs).
Educational Qualification
Full-time BE/BTech/BSc (Engg) from AICTE/UGC-approved institute with Pass Class in relevant branch:
- Electronics/ECE/ETC/Telecom
- Mechanical
- Computer Science/IT
- Electrical/EEE (PELE)
- Civil (PECL)
Age Limit
As on 01-08-2025: TE-I 28 yrs, PE-I 32 yrs. OBC +3 yrs, SC/ST +5 yrs, PwBD +10-15 yrs.
Selection Process
- Pre-Registration: Mandatory online Google Form (28-Aug → 12-Sep 2025).
- Written Test (Hyderabad):
- TE-I: 100 marks, ¼ negative mark. Merit list for document verification.
- PE-I: 85 marks, no negative mark.
- Interview (PE-I only): Shortlisted in 1:5 ratio; 15 marks.
- Final merit: TE-I – written score; PE-I – written 85 + interview 15.
Passing marks: UR/OBC/EWS 35%; SC/ST/PwBD 30%.

- Fill Google Form (link active 28-08-2025 to 12-09-2025).
- Print the auto-mailed form, affix recent passport photo.
- Download & complete BEL application form.
- Bring both forms, original documents and fee receipt to the test venue.
- Application Fee (SBI Collect): TE-I ₹177; PE-I ₹472; SC/ST/PwBD & BEL ex-apprentices (TE-I) – NIL.
Instructions
– Carry Aadhaar (acts as roll no.) and print-outs to exam hall.
– Only pre-registered candidates allowed.
– OBC (NCL) certificate dated ≥ 01-03-2024; EWS income–asset cert. required.
– Travelling and lodging to be borne by candidates; plan for two-day selection.
– Willingness for pan-India project deployment essential.
– Multiple applications disallowed; latest valid application retained.
