Salary Details
Trainee Engineers will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration and an annual allowance.
- 1st Year: ₹30,000/- per month
- 2nd Year: ₹35,000/- per month
- 3rd Year (if extended): ₹40,000/- per month
- Additional Allowance: A consolidated amount of ₹12,000/- per year will be provided for expenses like medical insurance, attire, and footwear. This will be paid in two equal installments.
- Area Allowance: An additional 10% of the consolidated remuneration per month will be paid if the candidate is posted to a location outside Bangalore where BEL does not have a unit or office.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a B.E., B.Tech, or B.Sc. Engineering (4-year course) degree with a Pass Class from an AICTE/UGC approved institution or recognized university in the following disciplines:

Age Limit
The upper age limit is applicable as of 01.09.2025.
- General/EWS Candidates: Maximum 28 years.
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC (NCL) candidates: 3 years.
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years.
- PwBD candidates with a minimum of 40% disability: 10 years, in addition to their category relaxation.
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted through a Written Test followed by Document Verification for the shortlisted candidates.
- Written Test: Candidates whose online applications are accepted will be shortlisted for a written test in Bengaluru. The test will be 90 minutes long and consist of 85 questions from Technical and General Aptitude sections.
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries 1 mark, and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks:
- General/EWS/OBC-NCL: 35%
- SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
- Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the written test scores, and candidates will be called for document verification accordingly.
How to Apply

- Fill in the required details in the online application form.
- Pay the application fee online via SBI Collect. The fee is ₹177 (₹150 + 18% GST) for UR, EWS, and OBC candidates. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted from the fee.
- Save the SBI Collect Reference Number and mention it in the application form.
- Upload the necessary documents and submit the final application.
- Candidates who have successfully registered will receive an SMS and email. They must download the call letter for the written test from the BEL website.
Instructions
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Walk-in selections for both job codes (TEBG and TEEM) will be on the same day, so candidates should apply for only one.
- Candidates must have a valid personal E-mail ID and Mobile Number for at least one year.
- The number of posts may vary based on actual requirements.
