Salary Details
- Deputy Registrar: Level 12 in the pay matrix (Pre-revised: PB-3, Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7,600).
- Assistant Registrar: Level 11 in the pay matrix (Pre-revised: PB-3, Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600).
- Examiner: Level 7 in the pay matrix (Pre-revised: PB-2, Rs. 9,300 – 34,800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,600).
Educational Qualification
Deputy Registrar
- Essential:
- Degree in Law from a recognized University with ten years of practice at a Bar or ten years of experience in a relevant field.
- OR Master’s Degree in Law with eight years of experience in teaching or research.
- Desirable: Ph.D. in Intellectual Property.
Assistant Registrar
- Essential:
- Degree in Law from a recognized University with five years of practice at a Bar or five years of experience in a relevant legal field.
- OR Master’s Degree in Law with three years of experience in teaching or research.
- Desirable: Ph.D. in Intellectual Property.
Examiner
- Essential:
- Degree in Law from a recognized University.
- Two years of experience in handling court cases and other legal matters.
- Desirable: Master’s degree in Intellectual Property.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 years as of the closing date of the receipt of applications.
Selection Process
The selection will be on a deputation basis (including short-term contract). Applicants will be assessed based on their application and fulfillment of the eligibility criteria. The period of deputation will ordinarily not exceed four years for the Deputy Registrar post and three years for the Assistant Registrar and Examiner posts.
