Salary Details
- For retired pensioners, the remuneration will be a consolidated amount equivalent to the last pay drawn minus the pension drawn.
- For retired employees from non-pensionable government or semi-government employment (like autonomous bodies, PSUs), a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹33,630 will be admissible for Junior Engineers.
- No other perks or benefits such as HRA, CCA, Transport allowance, or medical reimbursement will be allowed.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess a Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Civil engineering from a recognized university or institution.
- Only individuals who were Junior Engineers or held a higher position at the time of retirement from a Central/State PWD Department or a Central/State Public Sector Undertaking will be considered.
Age Limit
The maximum age for applicants is 64 years as of October 7, 2025.
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted through a personal interview. In the event of a large number of candidates, the ESI Corporation reserves the right to shortlist candidates for the interview based on objective criteria.

Candidates must bring the duly filled prescribed application form along with original and photocopies of certificates related to age, qualification, and experience. A copy of the pension payment order and the last pay certificate are also required.

Instructions
- The engagement is purely contractual and will last for one year or until the regular recruitment process for these posts is completed, whichever is earlier.
- The contract can be terminated by either party with one month’s notice or remuneration in lieu thereof.
- Contract employees are entitled to one day of leave for every completed month of service, in addition to Government Holidays.
