The normal term of deputation is for 3 years, which can be extended up to 5 years.
Salary Details
The selected officer will draw pay and allowances as per DOPT instructions. The pay scale will be according to the 7th CPC Pay Matrix :
- Level-13 OR
- Level-12
In addition, a deputation (duty) allowance will be admissible.
Educational Qualification and Experience
Candidates must be officers of the Indian Railways meeting the following criteria:
- IRSME Officer of Indian Railways working in Pay Matrix Level-13 of the 7th CPC.
- OR IRSME Officer of Indian Railways working in Pay Matrix Level-12 of the 7th CPC.
- OR Officer of Indian Railways working in Pay Matrix Level-11 of the 7th CPC.
The selected officer will be responsible for liaison with Zonal Railways, overseeing Rolling Stock Infrastructure, O&M, and technology-related projects.
Age Limit
Candidates must be below 50 years of age as on the date of the notification (September 18, 2025).
Selection Process
- Eligible and suitable applicants will be shortlisted based on their eligibility and experience as per the vacancy notice.
- The selection criteria will be as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Railway, Railway Board.
How to Apply
- Applications from officers working in Zonal Railways/PUs must be forwarded by the competent authority in the Ministry of Railway (Railway Board).
- Zonal Railways/PUs should forward the applications to the Railway Board at least 7 days before the closing date.
- KRCL will only consider applications forwarded by the Railway Board.
- Officers can send an advance copy of their application and enclosures via email to spo.gnanadeep@krcl.co.in.
- The application should be in the prescribed proforma (Annexure ‘A’ in the notification).
Instructions
- This is a deputation vacancy exclusively for officers of Indian Railways.
- The officer will not be entitled to the retention of Railway accommodation during the deputation tenure in KRCL.
- The exemption from the rule of immediate absorption for KRCL is permitted up to 31/12/2026.
- Shortlisted candidates will be selected based on their experience and as per the selection criteria mentioned in the Railway Board’s letters.
