Educational Qualification
- Degree from a recognized university in relevant field is mandatory for all categories
- News Reader (Hindi): Camera-friendly, professional/academic/journalism experience preferred
- Copy Editor: Degree/PG Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication, 3 years relevant experience
- Video Editor: Degree/Diploma in TV/Radio production, proficiency in software (Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve, Edius, After Effects, Photoshop)
- Broadcast Assistant: Degree/Diploma in Broadcast Journalism or TV Production, 3 years experience in live panel production/PCR operations
Age Limit
- News Reader (Hindi): 21–40 years
- Other posts: 21–50 years
Selection Process
- Skill tests, written exams, interview, computer-based tests, audition, screen test, group discussions, voice modulation, editing software proficiency, as decided by RNU DDK Bhopal

- Separate application required for each post if applying for multiple categories
- Incomplete applications rejected; no TA/DA for tests/interview
- Canvassing leads to rejection; empanelment can be cancelled by Director General DD News anytime
