Salary Details
The initial pay for the posts will be as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix:
- Level 1: Rs. 18,000/-
- Level 2: Rs. 19,900/-
- Level 3: Rs. 21,700/-
- Level 4: Rs. 25,500/-
- Level 5: Rs. 29,200/-
Educational Qualification
- Level 1: 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
- Level 2/3: 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent, or Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI for technical categories.
- Level 4/5: Graduation from a recognized institution.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years of age as of 01.01.2026. This means applicants must be born between 02.01.2001 and 01.01.2008. No age relaxation is permissible.
Selection Process
The selection process involves:
- Trials: Eligible candidates will be called for trials to assess their game skills, physical fitness, and performance. Candidates must secure a minimum of 25 out of 40 marks to be deemed ‘FIT’.
- Assessment: ‘FIT’ candidates will be assessed based on their sports achievements (50 marks) and educational qualifications (10 marks).
- Final Merit List: The final selection is based on the total marks (out of 100) and the availability of vacancies.
Minimum qualifying marks are 70 for Level 4/5, 65 for Level 2/3, and 60 for Level 1.

- An application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen/PWD/Minorities/EBC) is required and must be paid online. A portion of the fee is refundable upon appearing for the trials.
- All necessary documents, including educational certificates, sports achievements, date of birth proof, and caste certificates, must be self-attested and uploaded with the online application.
Instructions
- Sportspersons recruited will be on probation for two years and must execute a service bond for five years.
- Sports achievements from 01.04.2023 to the date of notification will be considered.
- Candidates must have a valid personal email ID and mobile number throughout the recruitment process.
- Candidates should be prepared to attend trials at short notice in Chennai or another specified location at their own expense.
