Salary Details
The selected candidates will be placed in Level-7 of the 7th CPC pay matrix. A training/teaching allowance is also payable as per Railway Board norms.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must be SSE/JE in Level-6 or Level-7 of the 7th CPC and meet one of the following criteria :
- A Graduate in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- A Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
Experience Criteria:
- Applicants must be supervisors (JE/SSE) working in their respective sections (Track, Bridge, Works, S&T) on Indian Railways.
- For the Sr. Instructor/S&T post, knowledge of networking, internet, and programming languages (like PHP, C++, Java, Python) will be preferred.
Age Limit
Candidates should be below 52 years of age. This is relaxable up to 55 years for deserving candidates.
Selection Process
The selection procedure will consist of three stages :
- Written Exam
- Viva-Voce (Interview)
- Practical Teaching Ability Test (to assess subject knowledge and presentation skills)

- This is an ex-cadre posting for an initial period of three years, which may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the administration.
