Salary Details
The rate of stipend paid to apprentices will be as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961, and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Graduate degree in any stream (e.g., BE, B.Com, BA, BSc, BCA) from a university or institute recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Age Limit
- The minimum age for apprenticeship training is 14 years. There is no upper age limit.
- Candidates who have completed three years or more after passing their minimum qualification examination as of September 1, 2025, are not eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection of Graduate Apprentices will be based on merit, determined by the percentage of total marks obtained in the degree examination.
- In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be given preference.
- Preference will be given to wards of Mumbai Port Authority employees, and separate merit lists will be prepared.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and must undergo a medical examination at the Port Authority Hospital.
How to Apply
Candidates must follow a three-step application process :
- NATS Registration: First, register online through the NATS 2.0 MIS web portal at nats.education.gov.in and print the email confirmation.
- Download Application Form: Download the application form from the Mumbai Port Authority website (www.mumbaiport.gov.in) under the ‘People & Career > Jobs > Advertisements’ menu.
- Submit Application: Submit the duly filled-in application form, along with required documents and the application fee receipt, either by hand delivery or by post to the office of the ATC, Bhandar Bhavan, 3rd floor, N. V. Nakhwa Marg, Mazgaon (East), Mumbai – 400010.
Instructions
- An application fee of ₹100 is required and must be paid via NEFT only. Physically handicapped candidates are exempt from the fee.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentice Act, 1961, are not eligible.
- The Mumbai Port Authority has no obligation to offer employment to apprentices after the completion of the training period.
- The last date for application submission is November 10, 2025, up to 5:00 PM.
