Salary Details
- Pay Scale: Level-1 (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900) in the pay matrix.
- Allowances: Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay and cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays (up to 30 days).
Educational Qualification
- Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Possession of a domicile certificate of the State against which the candidate has applied, issued on or before the closing date of 14.12.2025.
Age Limit
- Age: 18-25 years as on 14.12.2025.
- Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. Relaxations are also applicable for other categories like departmental candidates, widows, ex-servicemen, and PwBD as per government rules.
Selection Process
The examination will consist of two tiers:
- Tier-I (100 Marks): An online exam of Objective type MCQs with a duration of 1 hour. There will be a negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer.
- General Awareness (40 questions)
- Quantitative Aptitude (20 questions)
- Numerical/Analytical/Logical Ability & Reasoning (20 questions)
- English Language (20 questions)
- Tier-II (50 Marks): A descriptive test in English Language and Comprehension, which is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks are 20 out of 50.
- Final Selection: The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the Tier-I exam, provided the candidate qualifies in the Tier-II exam.
How to Apply
- Applications must be submitted online through the MHA website (www.mha.gov.in) or the NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in).[1]
- The application portal will be operational from 22.11.2025 to 14.12.2025 (23:59 hours).
- Pay the examination fee online. The fee has two components:
- Examination Fee: Rs. 100/-
- Recruitment Processing Charges: Rs. 550/-
- Male candidates of General, EWS, and OBC categories must pay both components (Rs. 650/-). All SC/ST candidates, female candidates, and eligible Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the examination fee but must pay the recruitment processing charges (Rs. 550/-).
Instructions
- Candidates can opt for only one Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB).
- The post has an All India Transfer liability.
- Candidates must choose five examination cities while filling out the online application form.
- Eligibility will be determined as of the closing date of the application (14.12.2025).
