Online applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for training in various workshops and establishments of the South Eastern Railway. Salary Details
Selected candidates will be paid a stipend at the prescribed rates as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th class in 10+2 examination system) from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. They must also possess an ITI Pass certificate in the relevant trade, granted by the NCVT/SCVT.
Age Limit
Candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 01 January 2026. The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates as per government rules.
Selection Process
- The selection will be based on a merit list prepared trade-wise from the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks).
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
- In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be considered first.

- Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- online (SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates are exempted).
- Submit the application and take a printout for future reference and document verification.
Instructions
- Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 does not confer any right for appointment in railway services. However, 20% of vacancies in erstwhile Group D posts will be filled by giving preference to Course Completed Act Apprentices.
- Candidates should ensure they fulfill all eligibility criteria before applying.
