Salary Details
- Stipend: Rates are as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules 1992/2019.
- Additional Allowance: An extra amount of Rs. 2,500/- per month is paid as miscellaneous expenses.
- Disbursement: A portion of the stipend for Graduate (Rs. 4,500) and Technician (Rs. 4,000) apprentices is paid directly by BOAT via DBT.
Educational Qualification
- Technician Apprentice: 3 years regular full-time Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, or Electronics Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
- Trade Apprentice: Matric with regular full-time 2-year ITI in Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, or Machinist trades.
- Graduate Apprentice: Regular full-time BA/BBA/B.Com/B.Sc degree from a recognized university.
- Data Entry Operator: Class 12th pass (but below graduate). Skilled certificate holders require a Domestic Data Entry Operator certificate.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years as of December 31, 2025.
- Maximum Age: 24 years as of December 31, 2025.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 10–15 years for PwBD candidates.
Selection Process
- Merit List: Selection is based solely on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination (No Written Test/Interview).
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must pass a pre-engagement medical fitness test as per IndianOil standards.
