Selection Process & How to Apply
Selection generally follows a two‑tier written examination scheme conducted by CBSE, with Tier‑1 as a qualifying OMR‑based screening test and Tier‑2 as the main exam, followed by Interview (for posts like Assistant Commissioner, Principal, Vice‑Principal, PGT, TGT, PRT, AO, Finance Officer, AE, Junior Translator) or Skill Test (for Stenographers and Junior Secretariat Assistants). Tier‑1 carries 100 questions/300 marks with sections on reasoning, numeric ability, basic computer literacy, general knowledge, English and one Modern Indian Language, with negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer and shortlisting in a 1:10 ratio for Tier‑2.
Eligible candidates must apply online only, filling all personal, academic, experience and category details correctly, uploading required documents and paying the prescribed fee before the deadline, after which they should generate and retain the confirmation page for record (printouts are produced later at document verification, not sent by post).
