The engagement period is 4 years with Agniveer package, Seva Nidhi, medical/CSD benefits, and an opportunity for up to 25% candidates to be enrolled later into the regular cadre as NC(E) based on IAF requirements.

Salary Details
- Agniveer monthly package with fixed yearly increment:
- Year 1: ₹30,000/month (₹21,000 in-hand + ₹9,000 contribution to Agniveer Corpus; Govt. matches ₹9,000)
- Year 2: ₹33,000/month (₹23,100 in-hand; ₹9,900+₹9,900 contribution)
- Year 3: ₹36,500/month (₹25,550 in-hand; ₹10,950+₹10,950 contribution)
- Year 4: ₹40,000/month (₹28,000 in-hand; ₹12,000+₹12,000 contribution)
- Seva Nidhi (on completion of 4 years): Approximately ₹10.04 lakh (excluding interest)
- Allowances/Perks: Risk & Hardship (as applicable), Dress & Travel, ration, clothing, accommodation, LTC
- Life Insurance: Non-contributory cover of ₹48 lakh during engagement

Medical Standards
- Height: Minimum 152cm
- Chest: Minimum expansion 5cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
- Vision: Not exceeding +3.5D (including astigmatism); 6/36 each eye correctable to 6/9 each eye; Colour vision CP-III; PRK/LASIK not acceptable
- Hearing: Normal; able to hear forced whisper at 6m with each ear
- Dental: Healthy gums, good set of teeth, minimum 14 dental points
- General: Fit physically and mentally to serve anywhere, any climate/terrain
- Body Tattoo: Permanent tattoos generally not permitted; limited exceptions (inner forearms/back of hand; tribal customs) as per policy; photographs required at Phase-II
- Gender Note: Predominant opposite gender characteristics or gender reassignment surgery leads to unfit
- NDPS: Zero tolerance to alcohol/substance abuse (NDPS Act compliance)
Selection Process
- Phase-I: Written Test (at the station where application submitted)
- Common for both streams
- 20 marks total: General English (Class 10 CBSE) – 10 marks; General Knowledge (Class 10 level) – 10 marks
- Minimum aggregate 10 marks to pass
- Phase-II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- Height check: ≥152cm
- PFT-1: 1.6km run in 6 min 30 sec (relaxation for high-altitude locations as per table)
- PFT-2: 10 push-ups (1 min) → 2 min break; 10 sit-ups (1 min) → 2 min break; 20 squats (1 min)
- Phase-III: Stream Suitability Test (SST)
- Qualifying; minimum 50% (15 marks) required
- Practical tasks aligned to chosen stream; unwillingness to perform any task leads to disqualification
- Phase-IV: Medical Examination
- Conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF standards
- Includes haemogram, urine RE/ME, biochemistry (sugar, cholesterol, RFT, LFT), chest X-ray (PA), ECG, and others as required
- Final Merit/Enrolment: As per IAF requirements, merit, and medical fitness
Debarring conditions: Use of unfair means, prohibited gadgets, impersonation, taking snapshots/videos of papers, misconduct, forged documents, etc., will lead to permanent debarment.

- Recent passport-size colour photograph (not older than 6 months), front portrait, light background, without headgear (except Sikhs). Photo must show candidate holding a black slate with name and photo date in white chalk, capital letters. Keep two extra copies for enrolment stage.

Instructions
- Apply only in the prescribed format available on the portal; multiple applications will lead to cancellation.
- Candidates must report for tests with Aadhaar Card (as per admit card); J&K, Assam, Meghalaya candidates may bring other valid ID if Aadhaar not available.
- No TA/DA; be prepared to stay 4–5 days for medicals if required.
- Mobile phones/smart watches/electronic gadgets are not permitted in exam hall.
- Candidates must maintain personal hygiene; remove tartar/stains; ensure ears are wax-free; carry valid ophthalmology prescription (≤1 month old) if using corrective glasses.
