Salary Details
- Technical Assistant: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400) + admissible allowances
- Sub Officer: Level 6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) + allowances
- Technician–B: Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) + allowances
- Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’ / Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’: Level 2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) + allowances
Educational Qualification
- Technical Assistant (Mech/Elect): First Class 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering from recognized institution.
- Sub Officer:
- Leading Fireman/DCO with Sub-Officer’s Certificate and 6 yrs experience; OR
- B.Sc (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) + Sub-Officer Certificate + 2 yrs experience as Leading Fireman after Sub-Officer’s course;
- Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License;
- Prescribed Physical Standards and PET;
- Sub-Officer Certificate must be from NFSC Nagpur or Regional Fire Service Training Centres (Bengaluru, Goa, Lucknow, Delhi, etc.)
- Technician–B: SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/NAC in relevant trade from NCVT.
- Driver (HVD/LVD):
- HVD: SSLC/SSC/Matric/10th + 5 years experience (3 as HVD), HVD license and Public Service Badge if required.
- LVD: SSLC/SSC/Matric/10th + 3 years experience as LVD, Valid LVD license.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 35 years as on 26.08.2025
- SC/ST: +5 years (only for reserved posts)
- OBC: +3 years (only for reserved posts)
- Other categories (Ex-Servicemen, PWBD, etc.): As per GoI rules
- Minimum age for all posts: 18 years
Candidates from reserved categories applying for unreserved posts are not eligible for age relief.
Selection Process
For Technical Assistant, Technician–B, Driver:
- Written Test (Objective MCQ; negative marking where applicable)
- Skill Test (Go/No-Go basis; qualifying in nature)
For Sub Officer:
- Preliminary Medical Examination with Govt. Medical Officer’s Certificate (as per annexure)
- Written Test (100 MCQs, 120 mins, negative marking)
- Physical Efficiency Test (Stage I: Running; Stage II: Rope Climb, Dummy Carry, Long Jump, 100m Run)
- Detailed Medical Exam (Qualifying in nature)
- Final selection will be based solely on marks in written test, post qualifying skill/physical/medical tests as applicable.

- Click on “Recruitment” and select “Apply Online” for Advt. No. 01/2025.
- Register and complete the application form.
- Upload recent color passport-sized photograph (JPG, max. 40 KB, min. 95×95 px, max. 100×100 px, white/light background), and all required documents/certificates.
- Pay the fee online as applicable (see below).
- Submit and note your Registration Number.
- No need to send a hardcopy; keep a printout for reference.
Application Fee:
- For Technical Assistant and Sub Officer (Post Nos. 792, 793, 794): ₹750/- (Women/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen: full fee refunded; others: ₹500 refunded, ₹250 retained after written test attendance)
- For Technician–B & Drivers (Post Nos. 795–799): ₹500/- (Women/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen: full fee refunded; others: ₹400 refunded, ₹100 retained after written test attendance)
- Pay online only through portal (no offline modes)
- Refund only if candidate appears in written test and provides bank details correctly.
