Salary Details
- Monthly Basic Pay: ₹16,338/-
- Monthly Gross Pay: ₹29,735/-
- Yearly CTC: ₹3,56,819/-

Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification:
- Full-time Diploma in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering from AICTE-recognized university/institute.
- Candidates must have minimum 50% marks in qualifying degree (45% for reserved categories).
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in inspection & supervision (as on 23.08.2025).
- Note: Training/internship/teaching experience not counted.
- Reservation criteria apply as per Govt. norms.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 23.08.2025)
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC (NCL)/SC/ST as per Govt. orders (against reserved posts)
- PwBD: 10 years additional relaxation (for more than 40% disability)
- Others as per RITES/Govt. rules
Selection Process
- Written Test: 125 objective type questions, 2.5 hours, no negative marking.
- Syllabus: Diploma Engineering (Mech./Metallurg.), General Engineering, Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, Industry Practices.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 50% (UR / EWS), 45% (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD against reserved posts).
- Document Scrutiny: Only candidates selected in written test, as per merit, will be called for scrutiny.
- Medical Examination: As per RITES standards.
- Final Appointment: Subject to eligibility confirmation and document verification.

- Upload scanned copies of all documents (DOB, qualification, category, experience, etc.)
- Pay application fee online:
- General/OBC: ₹300 + taxes
- EWS/SC/ST/PwBD: ₹100 + taxes (refunded after participating in the exam)
- Keep a printout of the application and documents for document verification stage.
- No hard copies to be sent by post/courier.
- Choose 2 preferred written test centres: Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bhilai (allocation not guaranteed).
