Educational Qualification
- Economic Officer:
- Must possess a Post Graduate degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics from a recognized university or institution.
- Junior Economic Officer:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or Statistics from a recognized university or institution.
Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for otherwise well-qualified candidates, especially those from Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes.
Age Limit
- The maximum age limit for direct recruits for both positions is 30 years.
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Central Government orders.
Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted as follows:
- Economic Officer: The post will be filled through:
- 33.33% by direct recruitment.
- 66.67% by promotion.
- Junior Economic Officer: The post will be filled entirely through Direct Recruitment.
- A probation period of two years is applicable for direct recruits, subject to the successful completion of mandatory training.
