Salary Details
The GDS are paid emoluments in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA).
- Branch Postmaster (BPM): Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 29,380/-.
- ABPM / Dak Sevak: Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 24,470/-.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must hold a Secondary School Examination (10th standard) pass certificate with passing marks in Mathematics and English from any recognized Board of School Education.
- The applicant must have studied the local language of the respective Postal Circle at least up to the 10th standard.
- Other Qualifications: Candidates must possess knowledge of computers, knowledge of cycling, and have adequate means of livelihood.
Age Limit
(Age will be determined as on the last date of submission of applications)
- Minimum Age: 18 years.
- Maximum Age: 40 years.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- PwBD + OBC: 13 years
- PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years
- EWS: No age relaxation
Selection Process
- Selection will be based strictly on a system-generated merit list.
- The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained/conversion of Grades/Points in the Secondary School Examination (10th standard).
- No weightage will be given for higher educational qualifications or past experience.
- Shortlisted applicants will undergo physical verification of original documents by the designated Engaging Authority (Divisional Head/Unit Head).
How to Apply
- Candidates must complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the official GDS engagement portal.
- Keep a valid mobile number and email ID ready for OTP verification during registration.
- Log in using the generated Registration Number and password to fill out the online application form.
- Select the desired Circle and Division, and carefully exercise your post preferences.
- Upload a recent photograph (JPG/JPEG, 30 KB to 100 KB) and a scanned signature (JPG/JPEG, 20 KB to 100 KB) in the prescribed format.
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- through online modes (Credit/Debit cards, Net Banking, or UPI). Note: Payment of the fee is exempted for all female applicants, SC/ST, PwBD, and Transwomen applicants.
- Review all details in the preview section and submit the final application before the deadline.
Instructions
- Multiple or duplicate registrations/applications are strictly prohibited and will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Ensure that your Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and Date of Birth match exactly with your 10th standard marksheet.
- A two-day edit/correction window will be provided after the closing date to rectify mistakes in the application, but mobile numbers and email IDs cannot be modified.
- Applications with blurred or illegible photographs/signatures will be summarily rejected.
