Applications are invited from eligible candidates for TNTET Paper-I and Paper-II for the year 2025. Candidates must apply online only through the TRB website www.trb.tn.gov.in before 08.09.2025, 5:00 PM.

Eligibility
Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years as on 01.07.2025
- No upper age limit.
Educational Qualification
(a) Paper-I (Classes I – V)
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed/ D.T.Ed
- OR Higher Secondary with at least 45% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed (as per NCTE 2002 norms)
- OR Higher Secondary with at least 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed
- OR Higher Secondary with 50% + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
(b) Paper-II (Classes VI – VIII)
- Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed
- OR Graduation with at least 50% + B.Ed
- OR Graduation with at least 45% + B.Ed (as per NCTE norms)
- OR Higher Secondary with at least 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed
- OR Higher Secondary with at least 50% + B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
- OR Graduation with at least 50% + B.Ed (Special Education)
- B.E with B.Ed eligible only for Maths & Science (as per Govt. orders).
Note: Final year students of NCTE/RCI recognized courses can apply but must produce certificates before TET certificate is issued.
Reservation in Qualifying Marks:
- SC, SC(A), ST, BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC, PwD: 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks.
- ST candidates: One-time concession – minimum qualifying marks fixed at 40%.

Paper-I (Classes I – V) – 150 Questions / 150 Marks / 3 Hours / OMR
- Child Development & Pedagogy – 30 Qs (Tamil/English)
- Language I – Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam/Kannada/Urdu – 30 Qs
- Language II – English – 30 Qs
- Mathematics – 30 Qs (Tamil/English)
- Environmental Studies – 30 Qs (Tamil/English)
Paper-II (Classes VI – VIII) – 150 Questions / 150 Marks / 3 Hours / OMR
- Child Development & Pedagogy – 30 Qs (Tamil/English)
- Language I – Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam/Kannada/Urdu – 30 Qs
- Language II – English – 30 Qs
- Maths & Science / Social Science / Other Subjects – 60 Qs (Tamil/English)
Qualifying Marks

Application Fee
- For SC, SCA, ST, PwD: ₹300 per paper
- Others: ₹600 per paper
- Separate application and fee for Paper-I & Paper-II.
- Only online payment through TRB portal accepted.
How to Apply
- Apply online only via www.trb.tn.gov.in
- Use separate applications for Paper-I and Paper-II.
- Keep scanned Photo (20–60 KB) & Signature (10–30 KB) ready.
- Upload required certificates (SSLC, HSC, D.El.Ed/B.Ed, Community, Disability Certificate if applicable).
Other Details
- Hall Tickets will be uploaded online — not sent by post.
- TNTET Certificate validity: Lifetime (as per G.O. dated 23.08.2021).
- Passing TNTET is only eligibility for recruitment, not an appointment guarantee.
- Exams will be held in all districts.
