Summary
Office of the Principal District Judge, Warangal invites applications for engagement of Special Judicial Second Class Magistrates for a period of one year. Morning courts will function from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM (Monday to Friday). Consolidated honorarium and conveyance are payable. Eligible retired/resigned judicial personnel, qualified ministerial/High Court staff with Law degree, non-practicing advocates with requisite experience, and certain retired gazetted officers with legal qualifications may apply in the prescribed proforma by the due date.

Salary Details
- Consolidated: Rs. 45,000/- per month

Educational Qualification
Any one of the following categories is eligible:
- Retired/resigned from Telangana Higher Judicial Service or State Judicial Service.
- Former Telangana Judicial Ministerial Service employee not below Head Clerk/Superintendent of District Munsif Court with a Law Degree.
- Former Telangana High Court Service officer of Section Officer rank or above with a Law Degree.
- Non-practicing Advocate with not less than 5 years’ Bar practice and above 45 years of age.
- Retired Gazetted Officer with a Law Degree or who passed the Criminal Judicial Test (full test of IPC & CrPC) conducted by TSPSC and exercised Magisterial Powers for not less than 3 years.
- A suitable retired Judicial Officer is preferred.
Additional eligibility:
- Must have at least two years to attain 65 years of age as on 01.07.2025.
Age Limit
- Must have at least two years to attain 65 years as on 01.07.2025 (i.e., age should be below 63 years on 01.07.2025).
- Non-practicing Advocate category requires age above 45 years.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting/scrutiny based on eligibility and submitted documents.
- No TA will be paid for journey related to recruitment.
- Appointing authority reserves the right to cancel the notification without assigning reasons.

- Attach duly attested copies of:
- Educational/Qualification certificates (including Law Degree wherever applicable)
- Retirement proceedings/Service documents as applicable
- Proof of Date of Birth
- Caste certificate, if any
- Proofs for experience/Bar practice/Criminal Judicial Test/Magisterial powers, as applicable
- Ensure proper attestation and complete information; incomplete/unauthenticated applications will be rejected.
- Submit the filled application with enclosures to the Office of the Principal District Judge, Warangal, on or before 14.09.2025 by 05:00 PM.
- Applications received after due date/time will not be entertained. The office is not responsible for postal/courier delays.
Instructions
- Disqualifications include:
- Practicing Advocate (currently in practice)
- Member of any State/Local Authority, State Legislature, or Parliament
- Removed/dismissed/compulsorily retired with major penalty from Govt/Local Authority service
- Convicted/sentenced for offence involving moral delinquency, or charged with offence of moral turpitude with proceedings pending
- Adjudicated insolvent or undischarged insolvent
- Contractor/businessman or interested in a subsisting contract/works with State/Central Government
- Revocation of Powers:
- Powers can be revoked for failure to attend three consecutive sittings without written permission of the Chief Judicial Magistrate.
- Automatic removal on attaining 65 years.
- Applications lacking required enclosures/attestation/complete details will be summarily rejected.
- No interim correspondence will be entertained.
