Salary Details
The selected candidates will be placed in Level-16 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with usual allowances as per applicable rules.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications from a recognized university or institute:
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in any discipline of Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computational Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Plant Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, or related fields.
- Ph.D. in Engineering or Technology in disciplines like Chemical, Biomedical, or Pharmaceutical engineering.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in any branch of medicine.
Experience:
- A minimum of twenty years of Research and Development experience in Biotechnology or Life Sciences is required after obtaining the minimum educational qualification.
- Experience in running large programs or institutions and a proven track record of research publications, patents, and awards is desirable.
Age Limit
The age of the applicant should not exceed 58 years as on the closing date for the receipt of applications.
Selection Process
- The selection will be made by a Search-cum-Selection Committee.
- The committee may consider eligible candidates even if they have not formally applied.
- Selection is based on eligibility criteria, including experience and qualifications.

Instructions
- The appointment will be on a deputation basis, including a short-term contract, for a maximum tenure of 5 years.
- Candidates must be scientists from Central/State Governments, Research Institutes, Autonomous Bodies, or Government-funded Research Organizations.
- Applicants must hold an analogous post on a regular basis or have requisite service in Level 14 or 15 posts.
- The application must include a list of publications with impact factors.
