Salary Details (Monthly Stipend)
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Rs. 12,000/- (Rs. 4,000/- paid by Govt. under DBT Scheme)
- Graduate (Degree) Apprentice: Rs. 13,000/- (Rs. 4,500/- paid by Govt. under DBT Scheme)
Educational Qualification
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: A full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering/technology discipline from a recognized board or institution.
- Graduate (Degree) Apprentice: A full-time Graduate Degree (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc./BCA/BLIS) in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- Eligibility: Only candidates who passed their qualifying exams in the years 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to apply.
Age Limit
The age will be calculated as of the date of the interview (27.10.2025).
Jobs In Tamil Nadu
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 24 years.
- Graduate (Degree) Apprentice: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 26 years.
- Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per government norms.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a walk-in interview. If a large number of candidates appear, the selection committee may adopt shortlisting criteria to manage the interview process.
How to Apply
This is a two-step process that must be completed before attending the interview:
Step 1: NATS Portal Registration
- Go to the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal:
https://nats.education.gov.in/. - Click on “Enroll” and complete the application form to generate a unique Enrolment Number.
- Wait for at least one day for your enrollment to be verified and approved.
Step 2: Walk-in Interview
- Once registered on the NATS portal, download the application form from the NIOT website.
- Fill out the application form completely.
- Appear for the walk-in interview on 27.10.2025 (reporting time is 8:30 AM) at the NIOT campus in Chennai.
- Bring the filled application form, a passport-size photograph, and all original certificates (plus one set of self-attested photocopies) for verification.
Instructions
- Candidates must not have any prior work experience of one year or more, nor should they have undergone apprenticeship training elsewhere.
- Bring all original documents for verification, including mark sheets, degree/diploma certificates, date of birth proof (SSLC/HSC), and community certificates.
