Post and Vacancy Details

Note: Candidates possessing two years special training in Pediatric Cardiology would be preferred for 02 posts of Assistant Professor (Cardiology). 4% seats are reserved horizontally out of 107 vacancies for Persons with Disabilities (PWD).

Salary Details

1st Year: Rs. 1,23,500/- per month (consolidated)
2nd Year: Rs. 1,30,000/- per month (consolidated)

The contractual appointee will not be entitled to any allowances, financial benefits or concessions as admissible to Government employees. Income Tax will be deducted at source on monthly basis.

Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification

1. A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
2. Post-graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned Specialty or Super-specialty mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI
3. At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned Specialty or Super-specialty in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree
4. Candidates must possess the requisite qualification as on or before the date of Walk-in-interview

Important Notes on Teaching Experience

1. DM or M.Ch qualification of three years’ duration shall be counted towards the requirement of teaching experience in the concerned broad Speciality
2. DM or M.Ch of five years’ duration shall be taken as three years for completion of post graduate degree and the last two years shall be counted towards requirement of teaching experience
3. Teaching experience in any other post like General Duty Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 40 years for Assistant Professor on the date of interview. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted through Walk-in Interview from 21.10.2025 to 31.10.2025 for different departments. Candidates must report at Room No. 16, Ground Floor of VMMC Building & SJH, New Delhi between 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM positively on the date of interview.

How to Apply

This is a walk-in interview process where eligible candidates need to appear directly at the venue with all required documents.

Documents Required:

1. Original and photocopies of all relevant documents duly self-attested
2. Application along with Bio-Data in prescribed Format (Annexure B)
3. Two passport size photographs
4. Class 10th Certificate for age proof
5. Mark sheets of MBBS (Part-I, Part-II and final year)
6. Internship completion Certificate
7. MBBS Degree and Attempt Certificate
8. Post Graduate Degree/Provisional Pass Certificate from University
9. MD/MS (PG) Attempt Certificate
10. DM/M.Ch Degree/Provisional Pass Certificate (if applicable)
11. Valid Teaching Experience Certificate for 3 years (Mandatory)
12. DMC Registration Certificate for PG/Proof of Registration for PG Qualification
13. Proof of Publication/Presenting paper in Conference/Case Report
14. Caste/Community/Disability Certificate (if applicable)
15. NOC from present employer (if employed)
16. Aadhar Card
17. Two sets of photocopies of all mentioned documents (mandatory)

Instructions

The contractual employment will be for a period of one year or till the regular candidates join, whichever is earlier. The services are terminable by either side after giving 30 days’ notice or salary in lieu thereof. The selection is purely contractual and does not confer any right for regularization or permanent absorption. The appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Treatment, Seniority, Promotion or any other benefits available to Government servants appointed on regular basis. The appointee shall be on whole time appointment and shall not engage in private practice of any kind during the contract period. The appointment is subject to physical fitness from the competent medical board. No TA/DA is admissible for the interview. Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.

Reservation Guidelines:

1. OBC candidates must produce latest OBC certificate in Government of India format, not older than six months on the date of interview
2. SC/ST certificate issued by competent authority to be produced at the time of interview
3. EWS candidates must submit Income & Asset Certificate not older than six months on the date of interview
4. PWD candidates must produce certificate at the time of interview as per DoPT Guidelines
