Salary Details
The selected candidates will be offered a salary in the Special Time Scale of Pay:
- Pay Scale: Rs. 11,100/- to Rs. 35,100/- per month.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the following qualifications to be eligible for the Village Assistant post:
- Must have passed the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate / 10th Standard).
- Must be able to read and write proficiently in Tamil.
- Applicants must be residents of the respective Taluk for which they are applying.
Age Limit
The age limit for applicants is calculated as of July 17, 2025. The minimum and maximum age requirements are as follows:
- Minimum Age: 21 years for all categories.
- Maximum Age:
- General Category (OC/GT): 32 years
- BC, BC(M), MBC & DNC: 39 years
- SC, SC(A), ST & Destitute Widows: 42 years
- Age Relaxation:
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to 50 years for GT and 55 years for other reserved categories.
- Persons with Disabilities: An additional 10 years of relaxation on the maximum age limit.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on the following stages:
- Reading & Writing Skill Test: To assess proficiency in Tamil.
- Interview: A direct interview to evaluate the candidate’s suitability.
- Bicycle/Two-Wheeler Riding Skill Test: This may be applicable for certain posts.
