Salary Details
- Candidates will receive a fixed stipend of ₹56,100 per month during the 49-week training period at the Officers Training Academy (OTA).
- Upon successful commissioning as a Lieutenant, the salary will be fixed in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500.
- The estimated Cost to Company (CTC) upon commissioning is approximately 17-18 Lakhs per annum.
- Commissioned officers will also be eligible for a Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500 per month.
- Officers are entitled to various other allowances, including Dearness Allowance, Uniform Allowance, and Field Area Allowances, depending on their rank and posting location.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their LLB Degree.
- The LLB qualification can either be a three-year professional degree after graduation or a five-year degree after the 10+2 examination.
- A valid CLAT PG 2026 score (from the examination conducted in December 2025) is mandatory for all candidates.
- The candidate must be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council.
- The law degree must be obtained from a College or University recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Age Limit
- Candidates must be between 21 and 27 years of age as of 01 January 2027.
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02 January 2000.
- Candidates must have been born not later than 01 January 2006.
Selection Process
- Application Shortlisting: The initial stage involves shortlisting submitted applications based on the candidate’s CLAT PG score and vacancy availability.
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a comprehensive five-day Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview process at designated selection centers.
- Medical Examination: Candidates who are recommended after the SSB interview will be subjected to a thorough medical examination.
- Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based purely on the marks obtained by the candidate during the SSB interview.
- Joining Letter: Medically fit candidates who secure a place on the merit list will receive a joining letter for pre-commission training, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.

- Click on the ‘Officer Entry Appln/Login’ option and select ‘Registration’.
- Read the instructions carefully and complete the online registration form.
- After registering, navigate to the Dashboard and click on ‘Apply Online’.
- Find the ‘Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course’ and click the ‘Apply’ button next to it.
- Complete the detailed application form by providing your personal, educational, and communication details.
- Verify all the entered information thoroughly and click ‘Submit’ to finalize your application.
- Generate and retain two printouts of the final submitted application form containing your Roll Number for future reference.
Instructions
- Candidates must convert their university CGPA or Grades into percentage marks as per the specific conversion formula adopted by their respective universities.
- Ensure that the candidate’s name, parent’s name, and date of birth in the application exactly match the details in the Matriculation or Secondary School Examination certificate.
- Candidates must bring self-attested copies and all original certificates to the SSB interview for verification.
- DigiLocker certificates will not be accepted in lieu of original physical certificates during the document verification process.
