Salary Details
- Graduate Apprentices (Engineering and Non-Engineering): Rs. 12,300/- per month.
- Technician (Diploma in Engineering) Apprentices: Rs. 10,900/- per month.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination during the years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026.
- Graduate Apprentices (Engineering): A regular, full-time Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.E / B.Tech) with First Class from a recognized university or institution.
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: A regular, full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council, Board, or University.
- Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: A regular, full-time Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Humanities (BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BBM, BCA, etc.) granted by a UGC-approved Statutory/Deemed University.
Age Limit
- The age limit will be followed strictly as per the Apprenticeship Rules.
Selection Process
- Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in their basic prescribed educational qualification.
- Intimation: Shortlisted candidates will be notified through their registered Email ID.
- Certificate Verification: Selected candidates must appear for original certificate verification at the TNSTC Trichy Region office.

- For New Users: Click on “Student” then “Student Register” to complete the application form and generate a unique 12-digit Enrollment Number.
- For Enrolled Users: Log in using your registered email ID and password.
- Navigate to “Apply against advertised vacancies”.
- Search for your preferred corporation (e.g., “TAMILNADU STATE TRANSPORT CORPORATION VILLUPURAM LTD”, “MTC CHENNAI”, “SETC TN LTD”, etc.).
- Click “Apply” to submit your application. You will see the status change to “applied”.
Instructions
- Candidates must mandatorily enter their percentage of marks in the NATS portal; failing to furnish the percentage will result in rejection.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training, or possess one year or more of work experience, are not eligible.
- Reservation guidelines for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwD will be followed as per the Apprentices Act. Relevant certificates must be provided in the approved government format.
- No TA/DA or boarding/lodging expenses will be paid for attending the certificate verification.
- The transport corporations have no obligation to offer permanent employment upon the completion of the apprenticeship.
