Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive an approximate monthly remuneration of Rs. 49,734. This includes a basic pay of Rs. 23,000 plus other benefits and allowances.
- Allowances: Variable Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, Canteen Allowance, Washing Allowance, and more under a ‘Cafeteria Approach’.
- Incentives: Monthly Incentive, pro-rata Quarterly Performance Pay, and pro-rata Annual Incentive.
- Other Benefits: Provident Fund, Group Insurance, Night Shift Allowance, Uniform, Shoe Allowance, and a monthly medical allowance of Rs. 1,500.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology acquired through a Regular/Full-Time mode.
- The minimum required percentage of marks is 60% for UR/OBC-NCL candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Important: Candidates possessing qualifications higher than the required Diploma are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit
(As on 30-09-2025)
- Freshers (UR): The upper age limit is 28 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules. After deducting the period of service, the resultant age should not exceed the maximum age limit by more than 3 years.
- Relaxations: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for PwBD candidates. The maximum age after all relaxations should not exceed 55 years (56 for PwBDs).
Selection Process
- Screening of Applications: Applications will be screened based on the eligibility criteria.
- Written Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an offline Written Test, tentatively scheduled for the 1st or 2nd week of October 2025, at Airforce Station, Tambaram, Chennai. The test will cover General Awareness, English & Reasoning, and the concerned Discipline.
- Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be called for document verification in order of merit.
- Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates will undergo a pre-employment medical examination at HAL Hospital.

- Application Form: Download and print the Application Form and Bank Challan from the HAL website (www.hal-india.co.in).
- Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 through the provided SBI Challan. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from the fee.
- Submission by Post: Send the filled application form, original HAL copy of the bank challan, and self-attested copies of required documents (SSLC/HSC marks card, Diploma certificate, Caste/Category certificate, etc.) via post to the following address before the last date:
