Salary Details
- Pay Level: Level 11 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 67,700 – Rs. 2,08,700).
- Approximate Gross Emoluments: Rs. 67,700/- per month plus admissible allowances.
- Allowances & Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance are payable as per extant rules. Employees will be governed by the National Pension System/Unified Pension Scheme. Additional benefits include medical facilities, subsidized canteen, quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, and Group Insurance.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline corresponding to the post code from a recognized university/institute.
- Pre-requisite Qualifications: Candidates must also meet specific foundational degree requirements (such as M.E./M.Tech/M.S./M.Sc or B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc/BS-MS dual degree) with a minimum of 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA on a scale of 10) for PG/BSc degrees, and 65% marks (or 6.84 CGPA) for BE/B.Tech degrees, as strictly detailed in the notification for each respective post code.
- Note: Candidates who have pursued professional courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are not eligible.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 35 years for Post Codes 1 to 6 (as on the crucial date of eligibility: 30.08.2026).
- Age Relaxation: Serving Central Govt. Employees, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs), and Ex-Servicemen are eligible for upper age relaxation as per extant Govt. of India rules/orders.
Selection Process
- Initial Screening: Based on the online application made in the ISRO Live Register portal, an initial screening will be conducted to shortlist candidates for the interview.
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The final selection will be based strictly on the performance of the candidates in the interview only.

- Fill in the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and experience details.
- Upload a recent color passport-size photograph (max 1 MB, JPG/JPEG format, plain/white background) and a clear signature (max 1 MB, JPG/JPEG format).
- Upload clear scanned PDF copies (max 1 MB each) of all Pre-requisite/Essential Qualification certificates and category/NOC certificates (if applicable).
- Submit the application and carefully preserve the generated online Registration Number and printout of the application for future reference.
Instructions
- Application Fee: There is no application fee for the posts of Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’.

- Travel Reimbursement: Outstation candidates called for the Personal Interview will be reimbursed Second Class Railway Fare or non-AC Bus fare by the shortest route, subject to the production of travel proof.
