Salary Details
- Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 12,300/- per month.
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Rs. 10,900/- per month.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Apprentices: A regular full-time Degree in Biotechnology, Botany, Life Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, Biochemistry, Chemistry, BCA, or Computer Science granted by a statutory or Deemed University (UGC approved).
- Technician Apprentices: A regular full-time Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture granted by a statutory or Deemed University (UGC approved).
- Note: Candidates must have passed out in the years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 and must be registered on the MHRD NATS Portal.
Age Limit
- The age limit will be followed as per the standard Apprenticeship rules.
Selection Process
- Engagement will be made purely on a merit basis, relying on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in their Graduate or Diploma programs.
- Preference will be given to the children of VPA Employees (deceased, medically invalidated, superannuated, or serving employees).
- A final rank list will be prepared based on category after successful certificate verification.

- Navigate to “Apply against advertised vacancies”.
- Search for “ICAR NATIONAL RESEARCH CENTRE FOR BANANA”.
- Click on “Apply” (your status will update to “applied”).
- Upload your B.Sc. / B.C.A. / Diploma Provisional Certificate or Consolidated Mark Sheet.
- Compulsorily enter your percentage of marks in the column “% of marks / CGPA x 10” in the NATS portal.
Instructions
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training, or who have one year or more of work experience, are not eligible to apply.
- Reservation guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be strictly followed; valid government-standard certificates must be provided to claim these reservations.
- No TA/DA or boarding/lodging expenses will be paid for attending the certificate verification process.
- Incomplete or erroneous online applications, or applications where the percentage of marks is not furnished, will be rejected.
