Salary Details
The selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Level-22, which is Rs. 56,100–2,05,700 per month.
Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the post of Assistant Medical Officer (Siddha), candidates must possess one of the following qualifications as of the date of notification:
- HPIM (Siddha), GCIM (Siddha), MD (Siddha), B.I.M (Siddha), L.I.M (Siddha), or a degree in B.S.M.S. from a recognized university.
- Must be registered with the Central Board of Indian Medicine or the Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council, Chennai.
Age Limit
The age limit for applicants as of 01.07.2025 is as follows:
- SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC&DNCs, BCs, BCMs: No maximum age limit (should not have completed 60 years).
- Others: 37 years.
- Differently Abled Persons (belonging to ‘Others’ category): 47 years.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on marks obtained in a Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Tamil Language Eligibility Test: This test is of 10th Standard level and is mandatory. Candidates must score a minimum of 40% to qualify. The marks from this test will not be considered for the final ranking. Differently abled candidates are exempted from this test.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): The main examination will be a CBT on the subject of Siddha.
- Final Selection: Selection will be based purely on the marks obtained in the CBT, following the rules of reservation and communal rotation. There will be no oral test or interview.

- An application fee must be paid online:
- SC/SCA/ST/DAP(PH): Rs. 500/-
- Others: Rs. 1000/-
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature as per the specified guidelines.
Instructions
- The application is to be submitted online only.
- Candidates must have a valid email ID and mobile number for all communications.
- Selected candidates must be willing to serve in Government Medical Institutions for at least three years.
- Candidates currently employed in government service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) during certificate verification.
