Salary Details
Selected candidates will be entitled to the following pay scales plus admissible allowances:
Jobs In Tamil Nadu
- Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT):
- Pay Scale: Rs. 24,500 – 3% – Rs. 90,000/- (Grade WG-VII / CP-VI).
- Training: A six-month training period with a stipend of ₹24,000/- per month.
- Technician ‘C’:
- Pay Scale: Rs. 21,500 – 3% – Rs. 82,000/- (Grade WG-IV / CP-V).
Educational Qualification
Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT)
- A 3-year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) from a recognized institution.
- Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/PwBD candidates.
Technician ‘C’
- SSLC + ITI + one-year Apprenticeship with a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade (Electronic Mechanic, Fitter).
OR - SSLC + 3-year National Apprenticeship Certificate Course in the relevant trade.
- Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/PwBD candidates.
Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as of 01.10.2025:
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years for both posts.
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- SC: 5 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Computer Based Test: A test for 150 marks consisting of two parts:
- Part I: General Aptitude (50 marks) covering mental ability, logical reasoning, comprehension, basic numeracy, data interpretation, and general knowledge.
- Part II: Technical Aptitude (100 marks) with questions from the respective discipline/trade.
- Qualifying Marks:
- General/OBC/EWS: 35% in both Part I and Part II.
- SC/PwBD: 30% in both Part I and Part II.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

- The deadline for submitting the online application is 04.11.2025.
Instructions
- Registration in any of the employment exchanges of Tamil Nadu is mandatory. The registration must be active as on 04.11.2025.
- Do not send a hard copy of the application form.
- Candidates working in Government/PSU sectors must produce a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) at the time of document verification.
- The Computer Based Test is tentatively scheduled for November 2025 at a centre in Chennai.
