Educational Qualification
- Store Keeper Grade II: 12th pass with one year of experience in handling stores.
- Engine Driver: Matriculation pass with a Certificate of competency as an Engine Driver.
- Draughtsman: Matriculation pass with a Diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or a certificate in Draughtsmanship.
- Lascar: Matriculation pass with three years of experience in service on a Boat.
- Fireman: Matriculation pass and must be physically fit to perform strenuous duties (physical standards specified in the notification).
- MTS (Daftary): Matriculation or equivalent pass with two years of experience as an office attendant.
- MTS (Peon): Matriculation or equivalent pass with two years of experience as an office attendant.
- MTS (Chowkidar): Matriculation pass with two years of experience as a Chowkidar.
- Unskilled Labourer: Matriculation pass or ITI from a recognized institute with three years of experience in the trade.

Selection Process
The selection process involves the following stages:
Jobs In Tamil Nadu
- Scrutiny of Applications: Applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification.
- Written Examination: A pen-paper-based objective type written test of 80 marks will be conducted. The duration is one hour, and there is no negative marking. The syllabus includes General Knowledge, Mathematics, General English, and questions on the relevant trade.
- Trade Test: Candidates who qualify the written test may be shortlisted for a trade test where applicable.
- Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written examination.
How to Apply
- Fill out the application form in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) either in English or Hindi.
- Affix a self-attested color photograph and attach self-attested photocopies of all required documents (ID proof, educational certificates, experience certificate, category certificate, etc.).
- Enclose a separate blank self-addressed envelope with a ₹50 postal stamp pasted on it.
- Superscribe the envelope in bold letters with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _______” and the category (UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST).
