Salary Details
The selected candidates will be appointed as Officers in Grade ‘A’ with the following pay and benefits :
- Pay Scale: ₹62,500 – 3600(4) – 76,900 – 4050(7) – 1,05,250 – EB – 4050(4) – 1,21,450 – 4650(1) – 1,26,100 (17 years).
- Gross Emoluments: At Mumbai, the approximate gross emolument is ₹1,84,000 per month without accommodation and ₹1,43,000 per month with accommodation.
- Other Benefits: NPS contribution, Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, DA, Local Allowance, Leave Fare Concession, Medical Expenses, Education Allowance, and other benefits as admissible.
Educational Qualification
General Stream
Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma (min. 2 years) in any discipline, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Law/Engineering, or qualified Chartered Accountant/Chartered Financial Analyst/Company Secretary/Cost Accountant.
Legal Stream
Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable: Two years of post-qualification experience as an Advocate.
Information Technology Stream
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any branch) or a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a post-graduate qualification (min. 2 years) in computer science/computer application/information technology.
Research Stream
Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma (min. 2 years) in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields.
Official Language Stream
Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English as a subject at the Bachelor’s level, or a Master’s in Sanskrit/English/Economics/Commerce with Hindi at the Bachelor’s level, or a Master’s in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation.
Engineering (Electrical) Stream
Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Desirable: Working knowledge of electronic systems like CCTV, security alarms, fire alarms, UPS, etc., and experience in maintaining lifts, pumps, and AC plants.
Engineering (Civil) Stream
Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Desirable: Experience in maintenance of properties, construction project administration, and knowledge of structural design software (CAM/CAD) and rehabilitation works.
Age Limit
A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on September 30, 2025. This means the candidate must have been born on or after October 01, 1995. Age relaxation will be applicable as per government rules.
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted in three phases :
- Phase I: An online examination consisting of two papers.
- Phase II: Shortlisted candidates from Phase I will appear for another online examination, also consisting of two papers.
- Phase III: Candidates shortlisted in Phase II will be called for an Interview.

Instructions
- Probation: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.
- Posting: Officers may be posted and transferred to any location in India where SEBI has an office and can be assigned to any department, irrespective of their stream.
- Application Fee:
- Unreserved, OBC, and EWS: ₹1000 + 18% GST.
- SC, ST, and PwBD: ₹100 + 18% GST (as intimation charges).
- Pre-examination Training: Free online pre-examination training will be arranged for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates who opt for it in the application form.
