Salary Details
- As per 7th CPC Pay Matrix: Level-1, Level-2/3 (PB 5200-20200, GP 1900/2000), Level-4/5 (PB 5200-20200, GP 2400/2800), with minimum pay of the Level on initial appointment plus admissible allowances; stipend during training where applicable.
- Posting and specific category in each Level decided by competent authority after panel finalization.
Educational Qualification
- Level 4/5: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Level 2/3: 12th pass or equivalent; OR Matric plus Act Apprenticeship; OR Matric plus ITI (NCVT/SCVT) or Diploma from recognized institution.
- Level 1: 10th pass or equivalent; OR ITI; OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NCVT).
- For Technician-III via Sports Quota, minimum 10th pass; training period as per RBE 92/2024 relative to qualification.
Age Limit
- 18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2026; born between 02.01.2001 and 01.01.2008 (both dates inclusive); no age relaxation permissible.
Selection Process
- Trials and assessment of sports achievements; only FIT candidates in trials proceed to further assessment.
- Marks distribution: Sports achievements – 50; Trial (game skill, physical fitness, coach’s observations) – 40; Educational qualification – 10; Total – 100.
- Trial FIT threshold: 25/40; NOT FIT if below 25.
- Minimum qualifying marks: Level 4/5 – 70; Level 2/3 – 65; Level 1 – 60; merit tie-break by younger age.
- Medical fitness in prescribed standard mandatory before appointment.
Sports Achievement Norms
- Level 4/5: Represented India in Olympic Games (Senior) OR at least 3rd position in World Cup/World Championships/Asian Games/Commonwealth Games/Youth Olympics/Davis Cup/Champions Trophy/Thomas-Uber Cup, as applicable.
- Level 2/3: Representation at World Cup/World Championships/Asian/Commonwealth/Youth Olympics/Champions Trophy/Davis Cup/Thomas-Uber Cup OR at least 3rd position in Commonwealth/Asian/Asia Cup/SAF/USIC/World University Games OR 3rd in Senior/Youth/Junior Nationals OR 3rd in National Games OR 3rd in AIU Inter University OR 1st in Federation Cup (Senior).
- Level 1: Representation in Commonwealth/Asian/SAF/USIC/World University Games OR 3rd in Federation Cup (Senior) OR represented State/Equivalent (except Marathon/Cross-country) with at least 8th position in Senior Nationals.
- Discipline-specific additions: Athletics, Badminton/Table Tennis/Tennis (All India and World ranking criteria), Cricket, Hockey, Kabaddi, Boxing with detailed norms and recognized junior championships list included in notification.
How to Apply
- Apply online only at RRC Prayagraj portal; no other mode accepted; read instructions on the portal before applying.
- Key steps: New Registration, fill details, select Level and sport/specialty, upload photo (3.5×3.5 cm, 20–30 kb, JPEG), signature (10–15 kb, JPEG), age proof, education, sports certificates, category/EWS/OBC/Minority/NOC as applicable, pay fee online, submit and print acknowledgment.
- Fees: Rs. 500 for all (Rs. 400 refund for those who appear in trial after bank charges). Rs. 250 for SC/ST/Women/Minorities/Economically Backward Classes (full refund on trial appearance after bank charges).
- Provide correct beneficiary bank account details for fee refund processing during application.
Instructions
- Ensure eligibility in education and sports; names must match across documents and sports certificates; mention exact specialty/position/event in application.
- Candidates for posts requiring initial training must pass training; typing proficiency required within 4 years for Clerk-cum-Typist as per prescribed speeds, failing which appointment remains provisional and no promotion/increment until pass.
- All selected sportspersons to execute a 5-year Service Bond; probation period of 2 years; postings anywhere in NCR.
- No reservation or relaxation under Sports Quota; canvassing disqualifies; English version final in case of interpretation disputes.
