Salary Details
- Young Professional-I: ₹30,000/- per month (fixed)
- Field Assistant: ₹15,000/- per month (fixed)
Educational Qualification
Young Professional-I
- Essential: B.F.Sc/B.Sc degree in Zoology or Life Science.
- Desirable: M.F.Sc or M.Sc with specialization in fisheries and prior experience in fisheries sector preferred. Skilled in swimming will be given preference.
Field Assistant
- Essential: Higher secondary/Graduation in Science/Fisheries/Agriculture/Marine Biology/Life Science.
- Desirable: Graduation in fisheries with prior experience in the field. Skilled in swimming will be given preference.
Age Limit
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 45 years
Selection Process
- Walk-in Interview: Based on academic performance, research experience, and performance during the interview.
- Shortlisting as per eligibility and criteria.
- No TA/DA for attending the interview.
How to Apply
- Candidates must appear for the walk-in interview on 18.08.2025 at 10:00 AM at Mumbai Regional Station of ICAR-CMFRI, 2nd Floor, CIFE Old Campus, Fisheries University Road, Versova, Mumbai-400 061.
- Bring a duly filled application (as per attached proforma), recent passport size photo, and self-attested copies of qualification, experience, and category certificates.
- Bring all original documents for verification at the time of interview.
- If employed, bring a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from present employer.
Instructions
- Only eligible candidates may appear; ineligible applications will not be considered.
- Posts are purely temporary and may be terminated at any stage without assigning reasons.
- Candidates must report 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
- No canvassing allowed; any such attempt will disqualify the candidate.
- Tenure and service governed by ICAR rules and may be extended based on performance, project tenure and funds.
- Selected candidates can be discontinued with one month notice.
- No provision for absorption/re-employment after project completion.
- Station/location may change based on project requirements.
- The decision of the Director, ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi is final in all respects.
