Salary Details
- Field Engineer: Basic ₹30,000 + IDA + HRA + 35% perks (annual CTC≈₹8.9 L).
- Field Supervisor: Basic ₹23,000 + IDA + HRA + 35% perks (annual CTC≈₹6.8 L).
Annual 3% increment after each completed year. Additional benefits include EPF, gratuity, leave, medical cover and accident insurance.
Educational Qualification
- Field Engineer (Electrical): Full-time BE/BTech/BSc (Engg) in Electrical/EEE/Power Systems with ≥55%.
- Field Engineer (Civil): Full-time BE/BTech/BSc (Engg) in Civil with ≥55%.
- Field Supervisor (Electrical): Full-time Diploma in Electrical/EEE/Power Systems with ≥55%. (Higher technical degree not allowed.)
- Field Supervisor (Civil): Full-time Diploma in Civil with ≥55%.
- Field Supervisor (E&C): Full-time Diploma in Electronics & Communication/Telecom/IT with ≥55%.
All posts require 1 year post-qualification experience in relevant project execution.
Age Limit
Upper age 29 years as on 17-09-2025. Relaxations: OBC(NCL)+3 yrs, SC/ST+5 yrs, PwBD+10–15 yrs, Ex-SM as per GoI, plus up to 5 yrs for former POWERGRID FTEs.
Selection Process
- Common FTE Written Test 2025 (1 hour, 75 MCQs; no negative marking).
- 50 technical + 25 aptitude.
- Qualifying: 40% (UR/EWS) & 30% (reserved).
- Field Engineer: Shortlisted candidates face personal interview (qualifying 40% UR/EWS, 30% reserved). Final merit based on interview only.
- Field Supervisor: Merit solely on written-test score; document verification before engagement.
Score card valid 1 year; can be used once for engagement.
