Educational Qualification
For Directorate of Education:
Essential Qualifications:
- Academic Requirement (Any one of the following):
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education from recognized Board
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks + 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE regulations-2002
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
- Graduation + 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education from recognized Board
- CTET Qualification:
- Must pass Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE
- Language Requirement:
- Must have passed Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi or English as a subject at Secondary level
Note: 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates
For New Delhi Municipal Council:
Essential Qualifications:
- 12th pass with 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST) from recognized board
- Two years Diploma in Primary Education/Certificate Course in ETE/JBT/DIET/B.El.Ed. from recognized institution
- Must have passed Hindi as subject in 10th class
- Must pass Central Teacher Eligibility Test as per NCTE guidelines

Exam Pattern:
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Total Questions: 200 MCQs

- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deduction for each wrong answer
