The Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research (SAMEER), Kolkata, is seeking motivated Engineers and Researchers to join India’s pioneering 6G development team. This recruitment is for project staff under a sponsored project to build the country’s first indigenous 6G Test bed in the Terahertz (THz) frequency range. The project is a collaboration with top IITs (Madras, Guwahati, and Patna) and is supported by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY).

Educational Qualification
- Research Scientist (RSEL001)
- Essential: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or M.Sc. (Electronics) with minimum 55% marks.
- Desirable: Experience in electronic circuit, handling of test and measurement instruments and electromagnetic / circuit simulation.
- Project Assistant – A (PAEL002 – A)
- Essential: Diploma in Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (3 Years course) with minimum 55% marks.
- Desirable: Experience in electronic circuit assembly and handling of test and measurement instruments.
- Project Assistant – A (PAME003)
- Essential: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 Years course) with minimum 55% marks.
- Desirable: Experience in 2D and 3D CAD based drawing generation and knowledge of quality control and dimensional inspection.
- Project Technician – A (PTEL004)
- Essential: ITI in relevant trade and completed NCVT with minimum 55%.
- Project Technician – A (PTME005)
- Essential: ITI in relevant trade (Fitter/Machinist) and completed NCTVT with minimum 55%.

Selection Process
- Online Application: Candidates must apply online.
- Screening Test: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a written test/screening test/skill test.
- Personal Interview: Candidates who qualify the screening test will be called for a personal interview.
- Final Selection: Based on performance in the interview.

Instructions
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- The appointment is purely on a contractual basis for a duration of 2 years or the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.
- Candidates must possess the prescribed qualifications and experience by the closing date of the application.
- TA/DA will not be paid for attending the test/interview.
- Candidates who have worked in any SAMEER Centre for five or more years are not eligible.
