Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration and other allowances as follows:
- CTC: ₹30,000 per month (inclusive of statutory deductions).
- Daily Allowance: ₹350 per day for on-duty on-board trains.
- Lodging Charges: ₹240 for night stays at outstations.
- National Holiday Allowance (NHA): ₹384 per day for working on a national holiday.
- Medical Insurance: Reimbursable upon submission of a valid policy. The amount is ₹1,400 per month for ages up to 35 and ₹2,000 per month for ages 36 to 50.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications from a government-recognized university or institute (affiliated to UGC/AICTE/NCHM&CT):
- Full-time B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration.
- BBA/MBA (Culinary Arts) from Indian Culinary Institutes under the Ministry of Tourism.
- B.Sc. in Hotel Management and Catering Science.
- M.B.A in Tourism and Hotel Management.
Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant field is required. Candidates who passed out before 2024 are eligible to apply.
Age Limit
As of October 1, 2025, the upper age limit is 28 years for UR candidates. Age relaxation is applicable as per government guidelines:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to the extent of service rendered in defense plus 3 years.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Walk-in Interview.
- Candidates must fill out the application form attached to the notification and submit it at the interview venue.
- Documents will be verified at the venue.
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their credentials and performance in the personal interview.
- Engagement is subject to a medical fitness test as prescribed by IRCTC.

Interested candidates must appear for the walk-in interview at the specified venues.
- Fill in the application form completely.
- Bring the completed form to the interview venue.
- Attach one set of attested copies of required documents, original documents for verification, and three recent passport-size photographs.
Instructions
- The engagement is purely on a contract basis for two years, extendable by one more year.
- A security deposit of ₹25,000 in the form of a Demand Draft is required upon selection.
- Candidates can appear for the interview at only one location.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi are required. Knowledge of local languages (Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of computer (MS Office) is essential.
