A total of 491 vacancies are available across India for qualified engineers and specialist officers in CA, CS, Actuarial, Insurance, and Legal streams. Eligible candidates can apply online only at the LIC careers portal.

Salary Details
- Basic Pay: ₹88,635/- per month in the scale ₹88,635 – 150,025 – 169,025.
- Gross Emoluments (approx.): ₹1,26,000/- per month (in A-class city).
- Other Benefits: Defined contributory pension, gratuity, LTC, group insurance, housing loan, vehicle loan, furniture reimbursement, allowances for mobile/maid/newspapers, meal coupons, etc.

Selection Process
- Phase I – Preliminary Exam (Objective)
- Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English/General Awareness (depending on post).
- 100 questions, 70 marks, 60 minutes.
- Phase II – Main Exam (Objective + Descriptive)
- Professional knowledge relevant to the post.
- Reasoning, General Awareness, English Descriptive, Professional Knowledge Descriptive.
- Phase III – Interview
- 60 marks (30 qualifying marks for UR/OBC/EWS and 27 for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Pre-Recruitment Medical Exam – Mandatory fitness test at the final stage.
Application Fee
- SC/ST/PwBD – ₹85 + GST + Transaction charges (Intimation charges only)
- All Others – ₹700 + GST + Transaction charges

Probation & Bond
- Probation – 1 year (extendable up to 2 years).
- Bond – Minimum service of 4 years; otherwise, ₹5,00,000 must be paid as penalty.
