Salary Details
- Level-1 (GP ₹1800, Pay Level-1): As per 7th CPC, entry pay approx. ₹18,000-₹22,000/month
- Level-2 (GP ₹1900, Pay Level-2): As per 7th CPC, entry pay approx. ₹19,900-₹24,000/month
Educational Qualification
Level-2 (GP 1900/-):
- Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks in aggregate (not insisted for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen and candidates with higher qualifications)
- OR 10th + Course Completed Act Apprenticeship
- OR 10th + ITI (approved by NCVT/SCVT)
Level-1 (GP 1800/-):
- Passed 10th standard or equivalent
- OR ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT
Note: Qualification must be passed before closing date. Those appearing/awaiting final result are NOT eligible.
Scouts & Guides Qualification (for both Levels)
- President’s Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder
- Active member of Scouts Organization for last 3 years (2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23)
- Attended: At least 1 event at National Level OR All Indian Railways level AND 2 events at State Level (during 2020-23)

Selection Process
- Written Test
- 40 objective questions (General Knowledge, Reasoning, Elementary Maths)
- 45 minutes duration
- Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deducted per wrong answer
- Minimum 40% marks required to qualify
- Marks on Certificates (Total 40 marks)
- Participation in National Railway/National Events: 10
- Zonal Railway Events: 7
- Divisional Railway Events: 5
- District Railway Events: 3
- Workshops/Training: 3
- President Scout/Guide/etc.: 10
- Three years active membership: 2
